Chuo City Living Guide
Community Bus Service (“Edo Bus”)
Chuo City’s community bus service “Edo Bus” has been running since December 2009, providing a means of travel to and from City areas with little public transportation access, and improving accessibility to public facilities.
Fare
¥100 (flat rate: for both adults and children)
- Pasmo and Suica and other IC cards for transportation can be used.
- Free of charge for preschoolers
About Free Community Bus"Edo Bus"Rides
If you are a registered resident of Chuo City and fall under any of the following conditions, you can ride the Edo Bus for free.
- People over 65 years old
- People who have one of physical disability certificate, intellectual disability certificate(Aino-techo) or mental disability certificate
- Pregnant mothers
- Target infants’ guardian (until the last day of the month in witch child turns two years old)
How to use the bus
- People over 65 years old
Please show your ticket issued by the city to the driver when boarding. - People who have one of physical disability certificate, intellectual disability certificate(Aino-techo) or mental disability certificate
Please show your disability certificate to the driver when boarding. - Pregnant mothers and Target infants’ guardian (until the last day of the month in witch child turns two years old)
Please show your ticket issued by the city to the driver when boarding
※Each free ticket can only be used by one pregnant mother or guardian of a target child
Operation
A bus arrives every 20 minutes.
North Loop
Mondays through Fridays 7 a.m. to 6:40 p.m.
Saturdays 6:58 a.m. to 6:38 p.m.
Sundays and holidays 7:58 a.m. to 6:38 p.m.
South Loop
Mondays through Saturdays 7 a.m. to 6:40 p.m.
Sundays and holidays 8 a.m. to 6:40 p.m.
* The times above indicate the time the bus departs Chuo City Office.
